Invitations are out!
Hooray! Invitations are on their way... and you may already have yours! I've already had a few questions... but the most common is regarding the cocktail schmoozefest.
Attire: Yes, this is a mini cocktail party. However! It is centered around a baseball game. So what should you wear? ORANGE!! You can dress up, or dress down... just try to put on some orange!
Who is invited?
Anyone! Including kids! Yeah, this is a kid friendly event. It's baseball! If you're planning on coming, just give us a heads up so we have a general idea of the head count. Or whatever. Also, if you're planning on actually going to the game as well, or would maybe like to go to the game, let me know. If we get enough people we can get a group discount rate. We would have just gotten tickets, but we weren't sure how many people would be interested in going to the game as well.
Okay, so if you have any other questions... just ask!

Hotel Information!
Hotel arrangements have been made! We have reserved a block of rooms at the Baltimore Hilton. The group rate is $175 a night. I know that may sound steep, but that's cheaper than most of the other hotels in the Baltimore Inner Harbor. Plus, the normal rate for the Hilton is $229 a night. (I know, $175 seems like a much better deal now, yeah?!) So, the best way for you to make your reservations is to call 1.443.573.8700 or 1.888.243.9694, and reference the Stupka/Sinnott wedding. Keep in mind that Friday, October 1st we'll be having some sort of cocktail party and/or baseball game shindig as wedding weekend kickoff. (The details of this will be worked out at a later date. Just know that there will be something awesome to do on Friday night as well as the regular wedding thing on Saturday night.)
The discount rate is only good if rooms are booked before September, 1st 2010.
If you'd like to spend the weekend at the hotel, but $175 is still a bit much for you... email me. We'll work something out. Maybe you can split a room with someone! Whatever. Tim Gunn says, "Make it work!" Don't tell me what to do, Tim Gunn! But yeah, we'll figure out something!
Edit: I forgot! The hotel allows dogs up to 70lbs! There's an extra fee; just ask about it when you make your reservations!

What should I wear?
I don't know about you, but for me figuring out what to wear to a wedding is difficult. There are a bunch of terms to describe the level of formality for an event; and, before I started planning this wedding I had no idea what any of them meant. For example, I used to think that "semi-formal" translated to "a little nicer than what you wear everyday." That is wrong. Wrong wrong wrong. Turns out, semi-formal is the same as formal except tuxes are optional and ladies have the option of a shorter hemline. Who knew? Not me, that's for sure. So, this is for everyone who is like me and doesn't know how to dress themselves appropriately. The suggested dress code for our wedding is "cocktail attire." But, what does that mean? Basically: look nice but be comfortable. If "being comfortable" to you means a little more formal, go right ahead and be a little more formal. But, if "being comfortable" to you means jeans and a t-shirt... maybe upgrade that to slacks and a nice top. Here is a comprehensive breakdown of what cocktail attire means.

OMG Shower!
The shower was wonderful! Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who made it possible! And thank you everyone who came for making it a really fun day!
A few special shout outs:
Thank you Talle and Alina for putting it all together! Madlibs were awesome and guessing who gave the gifts was a stroke of genius!
Thank you Mom for being an awesome social butterfly! You took on introductions between families (and even introductions within families hahaha) and made sure everyone was having a good time!
Thank you future father-in-law, Steve; future brother-in-law, Dan; and future husband, Will for carrying the loot to the cars in the super muggy-ness. I know that wasn't fun, but I really appreciate it!
I'll get pictures up soon. If anyone has pics please email them to me!

The Baltimore Museum of Industry
We are planning for the ceremony and the reception at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. Weather permitting, we'll have the ceremony outside by the water. Then, for the reception, we'll move inside to the main area of the museum. There's lots to look at and do in the museum so it should be fun! For directions, click the link above that says "Directions."
